SARA RAYO

In the most recent works of Sara Rayo, mysterious forms emerge like leaves, hair strands or muscle tissue over monocrome or even white backgrounds. As the artist cuts and bends the surface in teardrop forms, she reveals another level, the interior, a secret space behind the surface therefore creating a third dimension through the folds. The detailed drawings on the surface have gone into the interior of the paper, which is now sculpture.
